Eggless Banana Bread | Eggless Chocolate Banana Bread

Hello Fellas!

Hope you all are doing good! I am back again after an entire week. It was DIWALI! The biggest Indian festival. ❤ I was busy in pre-Diwali preparation…then busy in celebrating Diwali and…lastly the post-Diwali cleanup. TIRED! Though it was fun as always and we enjoyed a lot. This time I made Rangoli too. And of course, Diwali is also about food, food, and more food. I ate a LOT. 😀

People who are not aware of what Diwali is. Diwali, Deepavali or Dipavali is the Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn in the northern hemisphere (spring in the southern hemisphere). One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.”During the celebration, temples, homes, shops and office buildings are brightly illuminated.

The preparations, and rituals, for the festival typically last five days. The five-day festival originated in the Indian subcontinent and is mentioned in early Sanskrit texts. The names of the festive days of Diwali, as well as the rituals, vary by region. Diwali is usually celebrated eighteen days after the Dussehra(Dahen celebrants prepare by cleaning their homes and making decorations on the floor, such as rangoli. The second day is Choti Diwali, or equivalent in north India, while for Hindus in the south of India it is Diwali proper. Western, central, eastern and northern Indian communities observe Diwali on the third day and the darkest night of the traditional month. In some parts of India, the day after Diwali is marked with the Govardhan Puja and Diwali Padva, which is dedicated to the relationship between wife and husband. Some Hindu communities mark the last day as Bhai Dooj, which is dedicated to the bond between sister and brother, while other Hindu and Sikh craftsmen communities mark this day as Vishwakarma Puja and observe it by performing maintenance in their workspaces and offering prayers.

Now that you know how busy I was during Diwali, one thing which was there to help me apart from the husband is the Banana Bread. At least the Breakfast was sorted. 😀

I and the husband love banana and we buy it every week and eat it during the day. You won’t believe but this time I had almost a dozen (or more) of bananas which would have gone bad if the idea of using them in making Banana Bread has not come to my mind. Is there any other easy way to enjoy those overripe bananas?

Banana Bread is the savior to my overripe bananas. I enjoy the classic plain Banana Bread, but every time I bake Banana Bread I just couldn’t control my temptation of stirring the cocoa powder into the batter. Feel free to skip adding cocoa powder.

What’s so special about this Banana Bread?

Banana Bread, the name is enough to tell that it is special. 😀 This Banana Bread is healthy as it is made with whole wheat flour. Avocado oil is used instead of butter. It’s eggless yet so moist. It’s delicious and the aroma of freshly baked banana loaf can’t be described here. You have to bake it to smell and feel that aroma.

Just in case if you are thinking eggless bread will turn out to be dense and crumbly then my friend, you are wrong. I made eggless this time and trust me it is not at all dense and crumbly. It is so soft and moist that you won’t even feel it is made with whole wheat flour and it’s eggless.

  • Wheat Flour Or All-Purpose Flour? If you ask me, I would suggest going with whole wheat flour. It is healthy.
  • Cocoa Powder, Skip if you want the plain banana bread with no other flavors.
  • Nuts And Chocolate Chips, Adding nuts to the banana bread gives a nutty bite which I personally really love it. Feel free to add nuts of your choice or just skip them if you do not want it.
  • Butter Or Oil? It hardly makes any difference in the texture so choose healthy oil over butter. But if you bake banana bread once in a while it’s absolutely ok to use butter. Everything in moderation is good.
  • Sugar, Use brown sugar if you have and adjust accordingly as the bananas too will add to the sweetness.

Prepare this banana bread and enjoy with your morning tea or coffee. A slice of this super delicious Banana Bread serves the best breakfast ever and no effort required here. Bake this Banana Bread and the breakfast is sorted for a week. 😀
