Pan Grilled Veg-Sandwich

Made with green Chutney, cheese and readily available vegetables in the pantry. This recipe is as easy as it sounds.

With crispy butter toasted bread and cheesy vegetables inside, makes delicious breakfast option for adults and kids as well.

Usually when I am not sure of which protein to put in my sandwich, I would go for egg sandwich . But this time I was sure of not including eggs, so here comes my old-school pan grilled veg-sandwich.

This is the easiest and quick recipe of all time. Nothing much to prepare or cook here, only some slicing of vegetables and assemble is required.

Ingredients

  • 12 Sandwich bread slices
  • 4 Cheese slices
  • 1 Cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 Onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • Green Chutney, as desired
  • Sandwich mayo
  • Sandwich seasoning ( I have used seasoning mix from Keya brand)
  • Ketchup, as desired

Recipe

Step 1- Toast all the sandwich breads with butter and keep aside

Take one toasted bread slice, spread mayo, sprinkle seasoning mix, place some cucumber slices and cover with another slice

Step 2- Spread 1 tbsp ketchup all over the slice and place onion rings, cover up with a cheese slice and put 2-3 tomato slices

Take another bread slice and spread green Chutney. Cover the sandwich with that slice.

Toast for a minute or two on a hot griddle pan and remove to a plate.

Slice the sandwich diagonally while serving and enjoy the quickest sandwich 🥪
